How to Apply

Admission Process for Kindergarten:

Step 1: Apply. Parents complete the Enrollment Information form and return via email or in person.  A copy of the student’s birth certificate and a family picture need to be submitted directly to the Admissions Office. To process the application, an application fee of $25 (or the equivalent in cordobas) is paid at the time of completion.

Step 2: Visit. Once an application is on file, parents will be contacted by a member of the Admissions Team to schedule a school visit and parent interview with the Director. If you do not live in the country yet we can schedule an interview through Skype.

Step 3: Tour. Parents are strongly encouraged to schedule a tour. This is an opportunity for prospective parents to see the campus, learn more about our programs and meet current professional essay writers for hire. School is in session during tours so families are able to see our mission in action.

Step 4: Assessment. Granada International School is committed to the success of each and every student. In order to ensure that our school is the best possible fit for prospective students, each student is individually assessed to determine his/her readiness and our ability to meet his/her needs.

We will have playgroup visitations where all prospective Kindergarten students will participate in a small class setting. This is an opportunity for our school to take a glimpse at how your child is performing at his/her age level and will provide an indication of your child’s developmental readiness, language development and personal/social behavior. We will also be looking at gross and fine motor, body awareness, language development, and how well he/she can follow directions. All applicants who currently attend another school must submit teacher recommendations and academic records from that school.

THE  WAITING  POOL

Those children who satisfy the requirements for admission, but for whom no space is immediately available, will be assigned to the waiting pool, from which openings will be filled as they occur. Families of students who are admitted into the waiting pool will be personally notified by a member of the Admissions Team and will receive confirmation of their position on the list by email. The application will remain current at no additional fee. Families will be contacted if an opening becomes available at any time throughout the year. Parents are encouraged to contact the school on a regular basis to determine the status of your child’s application.
